Diciembre 2012  A new Viscous Fluid Injection Cannula from Sterimedix

Designed with safety in mind, the new 23g x 7mm Injection Cannula is manufactured using Thin Wall tube to reduce the injection force required

The new screw thread hub, made from polycarbonate, significantly reduces the risk of cannula detachment by ensuring a strong connection between cannula and syringe. The polycarbonate hub material has a higher frictional coefficient than traditional polypropylene which enhances the integrity of the connection.

Packed in rigid blisters, in boxes of 10 pieces, the new cannula is available from stock and offers a cost efficient alternative to others currently available.

Sterimedix has been nominated as an example of a successful manufacturing company in the government’s Made By Britain initiative.

Nominated by local Member of Parliament, Karan Lumley, Sterimedix has been praised for creating new employment opportunities as a result of a marked expansion and relocation of the business.

Abril 2010  Sterimedix announces major expansion plans

Following several years of sustained growth, we are delighted to announce that Sterimedix has purchased a new factory and office building

Still based in Redditch, the new facility will provide the Company with a significantly increased production, distribution & R&D capacity allowing us to manage the continued expansion we expect in years to come.

As part of this exciting project we will be installing new state of the art clean rooms and automated production equipment, ensuring and improving our levels of service to our customers worldwide. We expect to have completed the move to the new premises by the end of August 2010.

Sterimedix has introduced a 23g version of the Self Retaining Anterior Chamber Maintainer,

Sterimedix has introduced a 23g version of the Self Retaining Anterior Chamber Maintainer, originally developed by Dr Andrew Lewicky and later championed by the late Prof. Michael Blumenthal in his Mini-Nuc technique.

The self retaining characteristics make it the ideal irrigating cannula for use with small incision phaco surgery when the need for bimanual anterior vitrectomy arises. The 23g cannula removes the need to enlarge the side-port incision nor hold and manipulate an irrigation device during the procedure.
